This tool will help you plot your own sexy ménage contemporary short novel from beginning to end, and you can reuse it multiple times. Concept

What is your concept? Is this contemporary, paranormal, or something else? What kind of subplot or subplots will you introduce? You want at least one, and probably two, for this length. Don’t confuse a subplot with an obstacle. A subplot is a smaller element in the story. It’s basically a problem that needs to be solved, and it can be used to show character growth or just add another layer of conflict and length to your story. The obstacle is what could break them up and keeps them apart for at least part of the book.

Ch. 1

FMC’s POV

This is usually the meet-cute chapter with at least one of the MMCs. The circumstances can be set up so she meets both at once, or she meets them over the course of a short period of time. MMC1 can even be the one who introduces her to MMC2.

If you’re going to introduce conflict between the guys, start to make it obvious if she interacts with both of them at the same time. (If not in this chapter, it should be obvious in the first scene she has with both men.)

She should feel an immediate attraction. If she’s meeting both at once, she might be shocked that she finds both equally attractive. It’s probably never happened to her before, and she might be reeling from it. Or maybe she’s enthusiastic about the idea of a threesome, having fantasized about it. If you go that route, right now she’s just considering it a silly fantasy with no chance of ever happening—especially if the guys are clearly at odds.

Don’t forget to engage all her senses when she describes the guys and her impressions.
